Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes before starting work.
Disconnect the DAB, PAB, SAB, CAB, and BPT connectors.
Remove the floor console. (Refer to Body - Console)
Pull the lock (1) forward, then pull the lever (3) while pressing the lever lock (2). Disconnect the supplemental restraint system control module connector. (A and B)
Remove the SRSCM mounting bolts (3) from the SRSCM, then remove the SRSCM.
Remove or install the SRSCM with the ignition switched off, because the SRSCM has a rollover detection function. The SAB, CAB, and BPT may deploy if the SRSCM is shaken up and down or left and right with the ignition on.
Installation
Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes before starting work.
Install the SRSCM using the SRSCM mounting bolts.
Tightening torque: 6.8 - 9.2 N·m
Use new mounting bolts when replacing the SRSCM after a collision.
Connect the SRSCM wiring harness connector.
Install the heater ducts and floor console. (Refer to Body - Console)
Connect the DAB, PAB, SAB, CAB and BPT connectors.
Connect the negative battery cable.
After installing the SRSCM, check that the system operates correctly:
A.
Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn off.
The SRSCM detects vehicle rollover. SAB, CAB and BPT will be expandable if the technician moves the SRSCM in the vehicle while the IGN ON condition is set. For this reason, be sure to turn the ignition OFF, and then remove the SRSCM from the vehicle.
Variant Coding
After replacing the SRSCM with a new one, perform the "Variant Coding" procedure.
In variant coding mode of the SRSCM, the airbag warning lamp illuminates and flashes periodically (ON: 0.5 s, OFF: 0.5 s) until the coding is completed normally.
If variant coding fails, DTC B1762 (ACU coding error) will be displayed and the warning lamp will illuminate. In this case, repeat the variant coding procedure after confirming the cause in "DTC Fault State Information". Variant coding can be performed up to 255 times. If the number of coding operations exceeds 255, DTC B1683 (maximum coding number exceeded) will be displayed and the SRSCM must be replaced.
If the battery voltage is low (less than 9 V), DTC B1102 will be displayed. In this case, first charge the battery, and then perform the variant coding procedure. DTC B1762 (ACU Coding Error) and B1102 (Low Battery Voltage) may be displayed at the same time.

On-line type on GDS
Ignition OFF, connect GDS.
With the ignition ON and engine OFF, select the vehicle name and the airbag system.
