Manual Transmission - If Equipped
Fluid Level Check
Check the fluid level by removing the filler plug. The fluid level should be between the lower edge of the filler hole and a point not more than 3/16 inch (4.76 mm) below the lower edge of the hole.
Add fluid as necessary to maintain the proper level.
Fluid Change Interval
Under normal operating conditions, the factory-installed fluid will provide satisfactory lubrication for the life of the vehicle. If the fluid becomes contaminated with water, it must be changed immediately. Otherwise, change the fluid according to the recommendations in the Maintenance Schedule. Refer to the Maintenance Schedule for correct service intervals.
Lubricant Selection
Use only the manual transmission fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
