Rear Door Child-Protector Lock

~1min read

The child-protector lock helps prevent children from accidentally opening the rear doors from inside the vehicle. The rear door child-protector locks should be used whenever children are in the vehicle.

1. Open the tailgate.

2. Insert the key (or a screwdriver) (1) into the slot located on the rear edge of the door and turn its lock () to the position. When the child-protector is in the locked position, the rear door will not open even when the inside door handle is pulled.

3. Close the rear door.

To open the rear door, pull the outside door handle (2).

Even if the doors are unlocked, the rear door will not open by pulling the inside door handle while the child-protector lock on the rear door is locked.

WARNING - Rear Door Locks

Always use the rear door child-protector locks whenever children are in the vehicle. If a child accidentally opens a rear door while the vehicle is moving, they may fall out.
