Removal

When removing the high-pressure fuel pump, high-pressure fuel line, delivery pipe, or injector, injury may occur due to high-pressure fuel leakage. Do not perform repair work immediately after stopping the engine.

[Low-Pressure Fuel Line]

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the (-) battery cable.
  2. Relieve the residual fuel pressure in the fuel line. (Refer to Fuel System - Repair Procedures - "Relieve Residual Fuel Pressure in Fuel Line").
  3. Disconnect the low-pressure fuel supply quick connector (A), then remove the mounting nuts (B) and bolts (C).
  4. Disconnect the vapor hose (A) connected to the PCSV.
  5. Remove the fuel tank. (Refer to Fuel System - "Fuel Tank")
  6. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting of the vapor tube (A).
  7. Open the vent tube and the low-pressure fuel line retaining clip (A) using a screwdriver.
  8. Remove the mounting bolt, then release the fuel line retaining clip (B).
  9. Disconnect the fuel line and brake line protector (A) from the retaining clip (B).
  10. Disconnect the fuel line quick connector (A).
  11. Remove the mounting nut (A), then open the fuel line retaining clip (B) in the engine compartment.
  12. Remove the fuel line.

[High-Pressure Fuel Pipe]

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the (-) battery cable.
  2. Relieve the residual fuel pressure in the fuel line. (Refer to Fuel System - Repair Procedures - "Relieve Residual Fuel Pressure in Fuel Line").
  3. Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Intake Manifold")
  4. Remove the high-pressure fuel pipe. (Refer to Fuel System - "High-Pressure Fuel Pump")

Installation

  • Do not reuse the injector retainer.
  • Install the component with the specified torque.
  • Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. In this case, inspect it before use.
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    • Use the Special Service Tool (SST) [SST No.: 09314-3V100] to install the high-pressure fuel pipe.
    High-pressure fuel pipe nut: 29.4 ~ 35 N·m High-pressure pipe bracket bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m High-pressure pipe functional unit bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m Fuel line clamp nut: 3.9 ~ 5.8 N·m
