Outside Rear View Mirror
Be sure to adjust the mirror angles before driving.
Your vehicle is equipped with outside rearview mirrors on both the left and right sides. The mirrors can be adjusted remotely using the mirror switch. The mirror heads can be folded back to prevent damage during an automatic car wash or when driving through a narrow street.
The passenger-side outside rearview mirror is convex. Objects seen in the mirror are closer than they appear.
Use the interior rearview mirror or direct observation to determine the actual distance to following vehicles when changing lanes.
CAUTION – Outside rearview mirror
Do not scrape ice off the mirror surface; this may damage the glass surface. If ice restricts mirror movement, do not force the mirror to adjust. To remove ice, use an approved de-icer spray, sponge, or soft cloth with very warm water.
If the mirror is frozen, do not adjust the mirror by force. Use an approved aerosol de-icer (not radiator antifreeze) to free the frozen mechanism, or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.
WARNING! Mirror adjustment
Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This may result in loss of control.
