Removal

  1. Remove the rear wheel and tire.

    Tightening torque: 88.3 ~ 108 N·m

  2. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor mounting bolt (A).

    Tightening torque: 6.9 ~ 9.8 N·m

  3. Remove the rear seat back. (Refer to Body - Seat)
  4. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector.
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Install the rear sensor after lubricating the sensor O-ring with mounting fluid (RAREMAX AF-1). When installing the sensor, make sure the O-ring is not damaged.

Inspection

  1. Measure the output voltage between the wheel speed sensor terminal and the body ground.
To protect the wheel speed sensor, use a 100 Ω resistor when measuring the output voltage, as shown in the illustration.
  2. Compare the wheel speed sensor output voltage change with the normal output voltage change as shown below.
    V_low: 0.59 V ~ 0.84 V V_high: 1.18 V ~ 1.68 V Frequency range: 1 ~ 2500 Hz
