For the cigarette lighter to operate, the ignition key must be in the ACC or ON position. To use the cigarette lighter:

Push the cigarette lighter fully into the socket.

When the element is heated, the lighter will pop out to the ready position.

We recommend using replacement parts from an authorized Kia dealer.

WARNING

  • Holding the lighter in after it has heated will cause it to overheat.
  • If the lighter does not pop out within 30 seconds, pull it out to prevent overheating.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into the cigarette lighter socket. This may damage the cigarette lighter.

CAUTION

Using plug-in accessories (shavers, handheld vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, etc.) may damage the socket or cause a power system malfunction.
