Automatic Window Up/Down

Pressing or pulling the window switch past the second detent (6) fully opens or closes the window, even if the switch is released. To stop the window at a desired position while it is moving, pull or press the switch briefly in the opposite direction.

If the power window does not operate properly, the automatic power window system must be reset as follows:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Close the window and continue pulling the driver's window switch for at least 1 second after the window is fully closed.

Automatic Reverse (for Auto Up/Down Window)

If the upward movement of the window is blocked by an object or part of the body, the window will detect resistance and stop moving up. The window will then lower approximately 30 cm (11.8 in.) so the object can be cleared.

If the window detects resistance while the power window switch is continuously pulled up, the window will stop its upward movement, then lower approximately 2.5 cm (1 in.).

If the power window switch is pulled continuously again within 5 seconds after the window has been lowered by the automatic reverse function, the automatic reverse function will not operate.

The driver's window automatic reverse function is active only when the auto up function is used by fully pulling the switch. The automatic reverse function will not operate if the window is raised only partially using the power window switch.

WARNING

Always check for obstructions before closing any window to avoid injury or vehicle damage. If an object less than 4 mm (0.16 in.) in diameter is caught between the window glass and the upper window channel, the automatic reverse function may not detect resistance and the window will not stop or reverse.

WARNING

The automatic reverse function is not activated when the power window system is reset. Make sure body parts or other objects are safely clear before closing the windows to avoid injury or vehicle damage.

WARNING

Do not install any accessories in the vehicle that extend into the opening area of the window. Such objects may prevent the automatic reverse function from operating.
