Driver Airbag (DAB) Module and Clock Spring
Description and Operation
Description
Driver Airbag (DAB)
The driver airbag (DAB) is installed in the steering wheel and is electrically connected to the SRSCM through the clock spring. It protects the driver by deploying the airbag in a frontal collision. The SRSCM determines deployment of the driver airbag (DAB).
Clock Spring
This is the delivery equipment that supplies the operating signal generated by the front and side sensors to the airbag module (gas generator) board through the internal cable.
It also supplies the operating signal of the remote control switch on the steering wheel and the signal to the corresponding system through the internal cable.
