Low Tire Pressure Location

When the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning light illuminates, one or more of your tires is significantly underinflated.
If the warning light illuminates, reduce your speed immediately, avoid sharp turns, and expect increased stopping distances. You should stop and check your tires as soon as possible.
Inflate the tires to the correct pressure as specified on the vehicle certification label or tire pressure label located on the driver's side center pillar. If you cannot reach a service station or if the tire does not hold the air you have added, replace the low tire with the spare tire.
The TPMS malfunction indicator and the low tire pressure warning light may come on and stay illuminated after resetting and approximately 20 minutes of continuous driving before the low tire is repaired and replaced on the vehicle.
In winter or cold weather, the low tire pressure warning light may illuminate if tire pressures were adjusted to the recommended tire pressure in warm weather. This does not mean your TPMS is malfunctioning, because a drop in temperature causes a proportional decrease in tire pressure.
When you drive your vehicle from a warm area to a cold area, or from a cold area to a warm area, or when the outside temperature is significantly higher or lower, you should check the tire pressure and adjust the tires to the recommended tire pressure.
When tires are inflated with a large amount of air, the conditions to turn off the low tire pressure warning light may not be met. This is because tire inflation has a margin of error in its execution. The low tire pressure warning light will turn off if the tire pressure is above the recommended tire pressure.
CAUTION - Low Pressure Damage
Do not drive on a low tire. A significantly low tire pressure may cause the tire to overheat and make the vehicle unstable, which can increase braking distance and cause loss of vehicle control.
TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Malfunction Indicator

The low tire pressure warning light will flash for approximately one minute and then remain on when there is a problem with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. If the system is able to correctly detect low tire pressure while a system malfunction is present, both the TPMS malfunction indicator and the low tire pressure indicator will illuminate. For example, if the front left sensor is faulty, the TPMS malfunction indicator will illuminate. However, if the front right, rear left, or rear right tire is underinflated, the low tire pressure indicators may illuminate together with the TPMS malfunction indicator.
Have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible to determine the cause of the problem.
- The TPMS malfunction indicator may illuminate if the vehicle is operated near power transmission lines or radio transmitters, such as in police stations, government and state agencies, broadcasting stations, military facilities, airports, or transmission towers, etc. This may interfere with the normal operation of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
- The TPMS malfunction indicator may illuminate if snow chains are used or if certain personal electronic devices, such as a laptop computer, mobile phone charger, remote starter, or navigation system, are used in the vehicle. This may interfere with the normal operation of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
