Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Remove the steering wheel assembly.

    (Refer to Steering System - "Steering Wheel")

  3. Remove the steering wheel pad assembly (A) after loosening the screws.

  4. Disconnect the connector (A) from the steering wheel remote control.

  5. Remove the steering wheel remote control (A) from the face plate after loosening the screws.

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

  1. Check the resistance between terminals at each switch position (RH).

    [Cruise]

    Switch Connector Terminal Resistance (±3%)
    Cancel 2- 6 390 Ω
    SET - 610 Ω
    VOICE + 910 Ω
    CRUISE ON/OFF 1.38 kΩ
    Cruise and Speed Limiter ON/OFF 2.13 kΩ
    SCC (Smart Cruise Control) 3.63 kΩ
