Temperature and Air Intake Control

~1min read

Temperature Control

The temperature control knob allows you to control the temperature of air supplied from the ventilation system. To change the interior air temperature, turn the knob to the right for warmer air, or to the left for cooler air.

Air Intake Control

The air intake control is used to select the outside (fresh) air position or the recirculated air position.

To change the air intake control position, press the control button.

Recirculated Air Position

When the recirculation position is selected, air from the passenger compartment will be drawn in through the heating system and heated or cooled according to the selected function.

Outside (Fresh) Air Position

If the recirculated air position is not selected or is off, outside air enters the vehicle and is heated or cooled according to the selected function.

Operating the heater in the recirculated air position (without A/C) for an extended period may cause the windshield and side windows to fog up and the cabin air may become stale. In addition, prolonged use of A/C with the recirculated air position selected will result in excessively dry air in the cabin.

WARNING! Limited Visibility

Continued use of the climate control system in recirculation mode may cause humidity to build up inside the vehicle, which may fog the windows and reduce visibility.

WARNING! Do not sleep with the air conditioner on.

Do not sleep in the vehicle with the air conditioner or heater system on. This may result in serious injury or death due to decreased oxygen levels and/or body temperature drop.

WARNING! Recirculated air.

Continuous use of the climate control system in the Recirculation air position may cause drowsiness and loss of control of the vehicle. Set the air intake control to outside (fresh) air as much as possible while driving.
