Active ECO helps improve fuel efficiency by controlling certain engine and transmission operating parameters. Fuel efficiency depends on the driver's driving style and road conditions.
- When the Active ECO button is pressed, the ECO indicator (green) illuminates to show that Active ECO is operating.
- When Active ECO is activated, it remains on until the Active ECO button is pressed again. Active ECO does not turn off when the engine is restarted. To turn off Active ECO, press the Active ECO button again.
- If Active ECO is turned off, the system will return to normal mode.
When Active ECO is activated:
- Engine noise may become louder.
- Vehicle speed may decrease slightly.
- This may affect air conditioning operation.
Active ECO operation limitations:
If the following conditions occur while Active ECO is operating, system operation is limited even if the ECO indicator has not changed.
- When the engine coolant temperature is low: system operation will be limited until engine performance returns to normal.
- When driving uphill: The system will limit the power increase when driving uphill, because engine torque is limited.
- When using Sport mode: The system will limit shift changes depending on the situation.
- If the accelerator pedal is fully depressed for several seconds, the system will be limited based on the driver's intention to accelerate.
