Tire and Loading Information Label

The label located on the driver's door pillar shows the cold tire inflation pressure recommended for your vehicle, the number of persons that may be in your vehicle, and the vehicle capacity weight.

Vehicle Capacity Weight:

5 persons: 930 lbs. (420 kg)

7 persons: 1120 lbs. (506 kg)

Vehicle load capacity is the maximum combined weight of passengers and cargo. If your vehicle is equipped with a trailer, the total weight includes the trailer tongue load.

Number of seating positions:

Total - 5 persons (Front seat: 2 persons, Rear seat: 3 persons)

7 persons (Front seat: 2 persons, Rear seat: 5 persons)

Seating capacity is the maximum number of passengers, including the driver, that your vehicle can carry.

However, the number of seating positions may be reduced depending on the weight of all passengers and the weight of cargo or towed load.

Do not overload the vehicle, as there is a limit to the total weight or load, including passengers and cargo, that the vehicle can carry.

Towing Capacity:

2.4 L Engine

Without trailer brakes: 1650 lbs. (750 kg). With trailer brakes: 2000 lbs. (907 kg)

3.3 L Engine

Without trailer brakes: 1650 lbs. (750 kg). With trailer brakes: 2000 lbs. (907 kg)

With trailer: 3500 lbs. (1588 kg). Towing capacity is the maximum trailer weight, including the weight of the cargo, that your vehicle can tow.

Cargo Capacity:

The load capacity of your vehicle will increase or decrease depending on the weight and number of passengers, as well as the trailer tongue load if your vehicle is equipped with a trailer.

Steps to Determine the Correct Load Limit

1. Find the statement "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs" on your vehicle's certification label.

2. Determine the combined weight of the driver and passengers who will be riding in your vehicle.

3. Subtract the combined weight of the driver and passengers from XXX kg or XXX lbs.

4. The resulting figure is the available cargo and luggage capacity. For example, if the "XXX" value is 1400 lbs. and there are five 150 lb. passengers in your vehicle, the available cargo and luggage capacity is 650 lbs. (1400 - 750 (5 x 150) = 650 lbs.)

5. Determine the combined weight of the luggage and cargo being loaded into the vehicle. This weight must not safely exceed the available cargo and luggage capacity calculated in step 4.

6. If your vehicle will tow a trailer, the load from your trailer will be transferred to your vehicle. Refer to this manual to determine how this reduces the available cargo and luggage capacity of your vehicle.

Refer to your vehicle’s tire and loading information label for specific information

For specific information, refer to the tire and loading information label on your vehicle. It shows the vehicle capacity weight and seating positions. The combined weight of the driver, passengers, and cargo should never exceed the vehicle capacity weight.
