  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable and wait at least thirty seconds.
  3. Install the EFD with the bolt (B).

    Tightening torque: 39.2~54 N·m

  4. Connect the EFD connector (A).
  5. Install the center pillar trim. (Refer to Body - Interior Trim)
  6. Install the door scuff trim. (Refer to Body - Interior Trim)
  7. Insert the seat belt into the anchor pretensioner.
  8. Attach the EFD cover (A) to the EFD.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. After installing the EFD, check that the system operates correctly:
    A. Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for about six seconds and then go off.
