  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least thirty minutes seconds.
  3. Connect the seat belt pretensioner connector.
  4. Install the seat belt pretensioner with the bolts (A, B). Tightening torque: Bolt A: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m; Bolt B: 39.2 ~ 54 N·m
  5. Install the upper seat belt mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 54 N·m

  6. Install the center pillar trim. (Refer to Body - Interior Trim)
  7. Install the door scuff trim. (Refer to Body - Interior Trim)
  8. Insert the seat belt into the emergency fastening device.
  9. Attach the emergency fastening device cover (A) to the emergency fastening device.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
  11. After installing the seat belt pretensioner, check that the system operates correctly:
    A. Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for about six seconds and then go off.
