Electrochromic Mirror (ECM)
The electrochromic rearview mirror automatically controls glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you at night or in low-light conditions. A sensor built into the mirror detects the ambient light level around the vehicle and automatically controls glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you.
With the engine running, glare is automatically controlled by the sensor installed in the rearview mirror.
Whenever the shift lever is moved to the Reverse (R) position, the mirror automatically switches to maximum brightness to improve the driver's view of the area behind the vehicle.
CAUTION
When cleaning the mirror, use a paper towel or similar material moistened with glass cleaner. Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the mirror. This may cause liquid cleaner to enter the mirror housing.
