Operating Condition

  • This system is activated when the rear parking distance warning indicator illuminates. The OFF button is not illuminated. If you want to turn off the rear parking distance warning, press the rear parking distance warning OFF button again. (The indicator on the button will illuminate.) To turn the system on, press the button again. (The indicator on the button will turn off.)
  • This system is activated when reversing with the ignition ON. If the vehicle is moving faster than 5 km/h, the system may not activate properly.
  • The detection distance during operation of the rear parking distance warning system is approximately 120 cm (47 in.).
  • When more than two objects are detected at the same time, the nearest objects will be recognized first.

✽ NOTICE

The indicator may differ from the illustration depending on the condition of objects or sensors.

If the indicator flashes, the system must be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
