Seat Belt Buckle Switch (BS)
Description and Operation
Description
The SRSCM monitors the buckle status of the driver and front passenger seat belts. The SRSCM provides one pin each for the driver and front passenger seat belt buckle status input. The seat belt buckle circuit operates from the internal amplifier voltage supplied by the SRSCM and uses the body ground for the signal return. The buckle status changes the SRSCM deployment. If the seat belt is not fastened, the corresponding pretensioner will not be deactivated.
