Description and Operation

Description

Engine exhaust emissions (CO, HC, NOx) are reduced by a combination of design measures on the engine and a dedicated controller.

The main design measures concern the combustion chambers, intake manifold, camshafts and ignition system.

These measures are integrated into a high-efficiency emission control system that does not affect good driving performance or low fuel consumption.
