When the light switch is in the AUTO position, the tail lights and headlights will turn on or off automatically depending on the amount of outside light.

If your vehicle is equipped with the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFLS), it will also operate when the headlights are on.

CAUTION

  • Never place anything on the sensor (1) located on the instrument panel. This will ensure better control of the automatic light system.
  • Do not clean the sensor with window cleaner. The cleaner may leave a thin film that can interfere with sensor operation.
  • If your vehicle has tinted windows or other types of coating on the windshield, the automatic light system may not operate properly.
