For the cigarette lighter to operate, the ignition switch must be in the ACC or ON position.

To use the cigarette lighter:

Push the cigarette lighter fully into the socket. When the element has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position.

We recommend using replacement parts from an authorized Kia dealer.

WARNING

  • Hold the lighter after it has heated, as it may overheat.
  • If the lighter does not pop out within 30 seconds, remove it to prevent overheating.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into the cigarette lighter socket. This may damage the cigarette lighter.

CAUTION

Using plug-in accessories (shavers, handheld vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, etc.) may damage the socket or cause an electrical system malfunction.
