  • Turn the ignition key to the ACC position so the steering is not locked.
  • Place the gear shift lever in the N (Neutral) position.
  • Release the parking brake.
  • Apply more force to the brake pedal than normal, as braking efficiency will be reduced.
  • More effort will be required to turn the steering wheel because the power steering system will be disabled.
  • If you are driving down a long slope, the brakes may overheat and braking efficiency will be reduced. Stop frequently and allow the brakes to cool.

WARNING! Automatic Transmission / Dual Clutch Transmission Damage

  • If the vehicle is towed with all four wheels on the ground, it may only be towed from the front. Make sure the transmission is in neutral. Make sure the steering is unlocked by turning the ignition switch to the ACC position. The driver must be in the towed vehicle to steer and operate the brakes.
  • To avoid serious damage to the automatic transmission, limit the vehicle speed to 15 km/h and tow for less than 1.5 km (1 mile).
