Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
  3. Remove the battery and battery tray. (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
  4. Remove the ECM. (Refer to Fuel System - "Engine Control Module (ECM)").
  5. Move the gear selector lever to the N position.
  6. Disconnect the shift actuator connector (A) and the select actuator connector (B), then remove the wire clip.
  7. Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the shift actuator (A).

    Torque: 19.6 ~ 26 N·m

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
