The following are important points if you decide to tow a trailer:
- Consider using a sway control device. You can ask the hitch dealer about sway control.
- Do not tow a trailer during the first 2000 km (1200 miles) to ensure proper engine break-in. Ignoring this warning may result in serious engine or transmission damage.
- When towing a trailer, it is recommended to consult an authorized Kia dealer about additional requirements, such as a towing kit, etc.
- Always drive at a moderate speed (less than 100 km/h).
- On long uphill grades, do not exceed 70 km/h or the towing speed limit, whichever is lower.
- The chart contains important considerations related to weight:

M/T: Manual transaxle
A/T: Automatic transaxle
DCT: Dual clutch transaxle
