Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the fuel filler door housing.

    (See Body – Fuel Filler Door)

  3. Remove the fuel filler door release actuator (A) by loosening the mounting screws.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the left side trim panel from the luggage compartment.

    (Refer to Body — "Luggage Compartment Side Trim")

  3. Disconnect the fuel filler door release actuator connector.

  4. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. If there is no continuity, replace the fuel filler door release actuator.
