Ignition Switch Positions
LOCK

The ignition key can only be removed in the LOCK position.
ACC (Accessory)
Electrical equipment is in operating condition. If the driver has difficulty turning the ignition key to the ACC position, turn the steering wheel left and right while turning the key to release internal tension.
ON
The warning lights can be checked before starting the engine. This is the normal operating position after the engine is started.
Do not leave the ignition in the ON position when the engine is not running, to prevent battery discharge.
START
Turn the ignition key to the START position to start the engine. The engine will crank until you release the key; it then returns to the ON position. The brake warning light can be checked in this position.
The steering column lock (if equipped) does not replace the Parking Brake. Before leaving the driver's seat, always make sure the gear selector lever is in P (Park) for automatic transmission, fully apply the parking brake, and turn off the engine. Failure to observe these precautions may result in unexpected and sudden vehicle movement. Not accepted.
WARNING - Ignition Switch
Never turn the ignition key to the LOCK or ACC position while the vehicle is moving. This may result in loss of steering control and braking function, which may cause an accident.
WARNING - Key Holder
Do not attach small wallets, multiple keys, or any other heavy accessories to the key chain used to start the vehicle. They may cause the driver's key to accidentally turn the ignition to the ACC position while driving, which increases the risk of an accident and deactivation of several safety features.
WARNING: Exiting the Vehicle
To avoid unexpected or sudden vehicle movement, never leave the vehicle unless the transmission is locked in P (Park) and the parking brake is fully applied. Before leaving the driver's seat, always check that the lever is in P (Park), fully apply the parking brake, and turn off the engine.
