Warning Type
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~2min read

If a vehicle detected by the sensors approaches your vehicle, the warning chime will sound, the warning light on the outside rearview mirror will flash, and a message will appear on the LCD display.
✽ NOTICE
- The warning sound will stop:
- When the detected vehicle leaves the detection zone, or
- If your vehicle moves away from the detected vehicle, or
- When the vehicle is directly behind your vehicle, or
- When the vehicle is not approaching your vehicle, or
- When the other vehicle decelerates. - The system may malfunction due to other factors or conditions. Always pay attention to your surroundings.
- If the sensing area near the rear bumper is blocked by a wall, barrier, or parked vehicle, the system's detection range may be reduced.
WARNING
- When the BCW (Blind-Spot Collision Warning) system is activated, the warning indicator on the outside rearview mirror illuminates whenever the system detects a vehicle behind. To avoid accidents, do not focus only on the indicator and ignore your surroundings.
- Drive safely even if your vehicle is equipped with the BCW (Blind-spot Collision Warning) system. Do not rely solely on the system; check yourself before changing lanes. The system may not warn the driver under some conditions, so always check the surroundings while driving.
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) systems do not replace correct and safe driving practices. Always drive safely and exercise caution when changing lanes or backing up the vehicle. The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system may not detect every object near the vehicle.
CAUTION
- The system may malfunction if the bumper has been replaced or if repair work has been performed near the sensor.
- The detection zone varies depending on road width. If the road is narrow, the system may detect other vehicles in the second adjacent lane.
- Conversely, if the road is very wide, the system may not detect other vehicles in the adjacent lane.
- The system may be disabled due to strong electromagnetic waves.
