Kia Optima: Windshield Wiper/Washer / Wiper Arm

If necessary, remove the blade by pressing it in the direction indicated by the arrow, then open the hook (A).
NOTE
- Move the windshield wiper blades to the service position as follows:
  
  After turning off the engine, move the wiper switch to the single wipe (MIST) position for 20 seconds and hold the switch for more than 2 seconds while the wiper blade is in the service position.
- With the ignition switched to ON, move the wiper switch to the single wipe (MIST) position. The wiper arms will return to the normal operating position.

Remove the wiper arms (A) by loosening the nuts after removing the caps.

Tightening torque: 22.6–26 N·m

Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE
- When installing, position the wiper arm at the specified position, then tighten the nut.
- Position the wipers at the alignment mark (A) on the windshield glass.

Wiper Arm
