Description and Operation

Description

To provide adequate brake assist under all conditions, the brake booster is equipped with a partial vacuum sensor. The brake booster vacuum pressure sensor is located next to the brake booster.

Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Check the BBVPS installation condition and the vacuum hose for damage.
  2. Connect the KDS to the DLC (data cable).
  3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  4. Monitor the "BBVPS" parameter on the KDS.
