Power Windows
The ignition switch must be in the ON position for the power windows to operate.
Each door has a power window switch that controls the door window. The driver has a power window lock switch that can disable operation of the rear passenger windows. Power windows can be operated for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or turned to the ACC or LOCK position. However, if a front door is opened, the power windows cannot be operated for 30 seconds after the key is removed from the ignition switch (if equipped). If a window cannot be closed because it is blocked by objects, remove the objects and close the window.
NOTICE
While driving with the rear windows down or the sunroof (if equipped) open (or partially open), your vehicle may exhibit wind buffeting or pulsation noise. This noise is normal and can be reduced or eliminated by taking the following actions. If the noise occurs with one or both rear windows down, lower both front windows about one inch. If you experience noise with the sunroof open, slightly reduce the sunroof opening.
WARNING
Do not install any accessories in the window area. This may affect the pinch protection function.
Opening and Closing the Window

The driver's door has a master power window switch that controls all windows in the vehicle.
To open or close the window, press down or pull up the front of the corresponding switch to the first detent position (5).
Automatic Window Down

Briefly pressing the power window switch to the second detent position (6) fully lowers the window even when the switch is released. To stop the window at the desired position while it is moving, briefly pull the switch in the opposite direction of window travel.
Automatic Window Up/Down

Pressing or lifting the power window switch and holding it for a second past the second detent (6) will fully lower or raise the window, even if the switch is released. To stop the window at the desired position while it is moving, pull up or press and release the switch in the opposite direction of travel.
If the power window does not operate properly, the automatic power window system must be reset as follows:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the window and continue to pull the driver's power window switch for at least 1 second after the window is fully closed.
Automatic Reverse

If the upward movement of the window is blocked by an object or part of the body, the window will detect resistance and stop its upward movement. The window will then lower approximately 30 cm (11.8 in) to allow the object to be cleared.
If the window detects resistance while the power window switch is held continuously up, the window will stop its upward movement and then lower approximately 2.5 cm (1 in).
If the power window switch is operated continuously again within 5 seconds after the window has been lowered by the automatic reverse function, the automatic reverse function will not operate.
NOTICE
The automatic reverse function for the driver's window is active only when the "auto-up" function is used by fully pulling the switch up. The automatic reverse function will not operate if the window is raised using the partial-travel position of the window switch.
WARNING
Always check for obstacles before raising any window to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage.
If an object less than 4 mm (0.16 in) in diameter becomes caught between the window glass and the upper window channel, the automatic reverse function may not detect resistance and the window will not stop or reverse direction.
WARNING
The automatic reverse function is not activated when the power window system is reset.
Make sure that body parts or other objects are clear of the window path before closing the windows to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage.
Power Window Lock Switch

- The driver can disable the rear passenger door power windows by pressing the window lock button located on the driver's door to the LOCK (pressed) position.
- When the window lock button is in the LOCK (pressed) position, the driver's master switch can operate all power windows.
CAUTION
- To prevent possible damage to the power windows, do not open or close two or more windows at the same time. This will also help ensure the fuse's durability.
- Never attempt to operate the driver's door master switch and the individual door window switch in opposite directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened or closed.
WARNING
Windows
- NEVER leave the ignition key in the vehicle with children unattended while the engine is running.
- NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle. Even very young children may unintentionally cause the vehicle to move, become entangled in the windows, or otherwise injure themselves or others.
- Always double-check to make sure all hands, fingers, head and other obstructions are safely removed well before closing the window.
- Do not allow children to play with the power windows. Keep the driver's window lock button in the LOCK (pressed) position. Serious injury may result from unintentional operation of a window by a child.
- Do not extend your head or arms out of the window opening while driving.
