Repair Procedures

Smart Key

Saving Smart Key Code
  1. Connect the KDS/GDS DLC cable to the data link connector (16-pin) in the driver side lower instrument panel, then turn on the KDS/GDS power.
  2. Select the vehicle model, then perform "Saving Smart Key Code".
  3. After selecting the "Smart Key Learning" menu, press the "Enter" key. The screen will then be displayed as shown below.
  4. After receiving the learning smart key, press the "ENTER" key.
  5. Enter the "PIN code" to learn the first key.
  6. Press the SSB with the smart key within 5 seconds after pressing "OK".
  7. Confirm the message "First key learning completed".
  8. Press the SSB with the smart key within 5 seconds after pressing "OK".
  9. Confirm the message "Second key learning completed".
  10. The screen shown below will then appear when the key learning process is completed.
