1. Rear panel assembly

Repair Procedures

Replacement

  1. Remove the rear pillar garnish. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Pillar Trim")
  2. Disconnect the washer nozzle hose (A) and the upper stop lamp connector (B).
  3. Remove the rear door trim panel. (Refer to Rear Door Trim — "Rear Door Trim")
  4. Using a screwdriver, slightly lift the clips (A) on both ends of the rear door lift support (B).
  5. Disconnect the connectors and the rear door wiring harness.
  6. Remove the tailgate assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

    Tightening Torque: 21.6–26 N·m

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
