- SRS Control Module
- Side impact sensor (if equipped)
- Avoid situations where any objects strike the areas where the crash sensors or airbags are located.
This may cause an airbag to deploy unexpectedly, creating a risk of serious injury or death.
- If the location or angle at which the sensors are mounted is changed in any way, the airbags may deploy when they should not, or may fail to deploy when needed, causing serious injury or death.
For this reason, do not perform any work on or near the airbag sensors. The vehicle should be inspected and repaired by an authorized Kia dealer.
- Problems may occur if the sensor mounting angles are changed due to deformation of the front bumper, body, or B-pillar brackets where the sensors are installed. The vehicle should be inspected and repaired by an authorized Kia dealer.
- The vehicle is designed to absorb energy and deploy the airbags in certain types of collisions. Installing aftermarket bumpers or replacing them with used or non-genuine parts may adversely affect the operation of the airbag system.
