  • This function is designed to prevent the battery from discharging.

The system automatically turns off the parking lights when the driver removes the ignition key (smart key: turns off the engine) and opens the driver's door.

  • Because of this function, a vehicle parked on the roadside at night will not be visible, since the parking lights are switched off automatically. If the parking lights must remain on when the ignition key is removed (smart key: engine switched off), proceed as follows:
    1. Open the driver's door.
    2. Using the light control switch on the steering column, turn the parking lights off and then on again.
