Light control

The light switch has headlamp and parking lamp positions.

To operate the lights, turn the knob at the end of the control lever to one of the following positions:

1. 1
   OFF position
2. 2
   Parking lamp position
3. 3
   Headlamp position
4. 4
   Automatic Headlight Control position (if equipped)

Parking lamp position (
)

When the light switch is in the parking lamp position, the tail lamps, side marker lamps, license plate lamps and instrument cluster lights are on.

Headlamp position ( )

When the light switch is in the headlamp position, the headlamps, tail lamps, side marker lamps, license plate lamps and instrument cluster lights are on.

NOTE To turn on the headlamps, the ignition switch must be in the ON position.

Automatic headlamp control position (if equipped)

When the light switch is in the AUTO position, the headlamps and tail lamps are turned on and off automatically, depending on the amount of light outside the vehicle.

• Do not place anything on the sensor (1) located on the instrument panel. This ensures better control by the automatic headlamp control system.
• Do not clean the sensor with windshield washer fluid. A thin film of fluid that may remain will interfere with the sensor's operation.
• If the vehicle has a tinted windshield or other metallic coatings on it, the automatic headlamp control system may not operate correctly.
