Driving Your Vehicle

Activation Conditions

~1min read

The FCA system is activated when FCA is selected on the LCD display and the following conditions are met:

- ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is turned on.
- Vehicle speed is above 10 km/h. (The FCA system operates only within a specific vehicle speed range)
- When the FCA system detects a vehicle ahead.

WARNING

The FCA system may not detect every obstacle or provide warnings and braking in every situation, so do not rely on the FCA system to stop the vehicle in all cases. Always brake when the driver sees an obstacle and can brake.

WARNING

Turn FCA on or off using the switches on the steering wheel after stopping the vehicle in a safe location.

• The FCA system is automatically activated when the vehicle is started.

The driver can deactivate the FCA system by canceling the system setting on the LCD display.

• The FCA system is automatically deactivated when ESC is turned off. When ESC is off, the FCA system cannot be activated on the LCD display. In this case, the FCA warning light will illuminate, but this does not indicate a malfunction.
