Rear View Monitor System

~1min read

Rear View Monitor Function

■ Type A

■ Type B

The rear view monitor system operates when the ignition switch is ON and the shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position.

Note that when the vehicle is first started, the rear view monitor may not display immediately due to the audio system loading.

This system is an optional system that displays the area behind the vehicle through the audio or navigation display of UVO.

The driver is always responsible for checking the interior and exterior rearview mirrors and the area behind the vehicle before and while reversing.

Always keep the camera lens clean. If the lens is covered with foreign matter, the camera may not operate correctly.

The rear view monitor does not replace proper and safe backing procedures. Always drive safely and use caution when backing up.

The rear view monitor may not display every object behind the vehicle.

WARNING! Backing up and using the camera

Never rely solely on the rear view monitor when reversing. Before backing up, always visually check the area behind your vehicle, and while backing up, be aware of your surroundings and supplement the rear view monitor by looking over your shoulder and checking the rearview mirrors.

Because it is difficult to ensure that the area behind you remains clear, always back up slowly and stop immediately if you have any suspicion that a person, especially a child, may be behind you.
