Floor Mat Anchor(s)

When using a floor mat on the front floor carpet, make sure it is secured to the floor mat anchors in the vehicle. This prevents the floor mat from sliding forward.
When installing the floor mat
1. Align the floor mat fastening structure (hook) with the floor mat hook ring.
2. Insert the floor mat hook ring onto the floor mat hook.
3. When inserting, first press the part of the hook ring corresponding to the floor mat hook, then press the upper part of the hook ring so that the hook ring can be inserted correctly.
When removing the floor mat
Grasp the front of the mat and pull the mat upward.
WARNING
When installing ANY floor mat in the vehicle, observe the following.
- Make sure the floor mats are securely fastened to the floor anchor(s) before driving the vehicle.
- Do not use ANY floor mats that cannot be securely fastened to the vehicle's floor mat anchors.
- Do not place floor mats on top of each other (for example, an all-weather rubber mat on top of a carpeted mat). Only one floor mat should be installed in each position.
- When removing the floor mat, be sure to remove it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the previous illustration. If force is applied in another direction to the hook, the hook may break.
IMPORTANT - Your vehicle was manufactured with floor mat anchors on the driver's side floor, designed to hold the floor mat securely in place. To avoid any interference with pedal operation, Kia recommends using only a Kia floor mat designed to be installed in your vehicle.
