CAUTION

  • Before servicing or recharging the battery, turn off the engine and all electrical loads.

  • When disconnecting the battery, disconnect the negative terminal first. When connecting the battery, connect the negative terminal last.

  • Before recharging the battery, make sure all the caps have been removed.

  • (With i-stop system) Do not charge the battery with a charger using quick-charge technology (Quickcharge).

If the battery discharges quickly, for example because the lights were left on for a long time after the engine was turned off, it must be recharged slowly with a suitable charger.

If the battery gradually discharges due to high electrical loads while the vehicle is in use, recharge it according to the battery capacity and the characteristics of the charger.

To purchase a replacement battery, contact an Authorized Mazda Service Center.
