Spare Tire
Your Mazda is equipped with a temporary spare tire.
The temporary spare tire is lighter and smaller than a regular tire and is intended only for use in an emergency for a VERY short period of time. NEVER use the temporary spare tire for long distances or for an extended period.
WARNING
Do not mount the temporary spare tire in place of one of the front (driving) wheels. Driving with the temporary spare tire mounted in place of a front driving wheel is dangerous. Steering will be impaired.
You may lose control of the vehicle, especially on icy or snowy roads, and cause an accident. Move the rear wheel to the front and mount the temporary spare tire in the rear.
CAUTION
Directional stability may deteriorate while driving with the temporary spare tire. Drive carefully.
To avoid damaging the temporary spare tire or the vehicle, observe the following precautions:
- Do not exceed 80 km/h.
- Avoid driving over obstacles.
To remove the spare wheel
1. Lift the luggage compartment floor mat.

2. Loosen the wheel retaining bolt by turning it counterclockwise.

To install and secure the spare wheel
Perform the above procedure in reverse order. After stowing the wheel, check that it is properly secured.
