Seat Belt Warning Light and Chime
Front Seats
If the vehicle speed exceeds approximately 20 km/h and the driver's or front passenger's seat belt is not fastened, the warning chime sounds continuously. If the seat belt remains unfastened, the chime stops, then sounds again for about 90 seconds. The chime stops when the driver's or front passenger's seat belt is fastened.
CAUTION
Placing heavy objects on the front passenger seat may cause the passenger seat belt warning to activate, depending on the weight of such objects.
To ensure the front passenger seat occupancy sensor operates correctly, do not place or sit on additional cushions on the seat. The sensor may not operate correctly because additional cushions may interfere with its operation.
If a small child is seated in the front passenger seat, the warning chime may not sound.
Rear Seats
The warning chime sounds only if the seat belt of the seat was unfastened after having been fastened.
