Replacing the windscreen wiper blade
If the wipers do not clean the windshield well, the blades are likely worn or cracked.
Replace them.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the wiper arms or other components, do not move the wiper arms across the windshield by hand.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the wiper arms when raising both arms, raise the driver's wiper arm first. Conversely, when lowering the wiper arms, lower the passenger's wiper arm first.
(Type A)
1. Raise the wiper arm.
2. Open the latch and slide the blade out in the direction shown by the arrow.

3. Tilt the blade and remove it from the holder.

CAUTION
To prevent damage to the windshield, hold the wiper arm while lowering it so that it does not strike the windshield.
4. Pull down the wiper blade rubber and pull it out of the holder.
5. Remove the metal stiffeners and install them in the new wiper blade rubber.

CAUTION
- Do not bend or discard the metal stiffeners. They will be needed for reuse.
- If the metal stiffeners are swapped, wiper performance may deteriorate.
6. Carefully slide in the rubber of the new blade.
Then install the blade by performing the removal steps in reverse order.
(Type B)
1. Raise the wiper arm and rotate the blade to expose the plastic locking tab.
Squeeze the tab and slide it down, then remove the blade from the arm.

CAUTION
To prevent damage to the windshield, hold the wiper arm while lowering it so that it does not strike the windshield.
2. Grip the end of the wiper blade rubber and pull it out of the holder.
3. Remove the metal stiffeners and install them in the new wiper blade rubber.
CAUTION
- Do not bend or discard the metal stiffeners. They will be needed for reuse.
- If the metal stiffeners are swapped, wiper performance may deteriorate.
4. Carefully slide in the rubber of the new blade.
Then install the blade by performing the removal steps in reverse order.
