Replacing the Rear Wiper Blade (Hatchback)
In this manual: Operation and maintenance
~1min read
If the wiper does not clean the window well, the blade is likely worn or cracked.
Replace it.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the wiper arm or other components, do not try to move the wiper arm across the window by hand.
1. Raise the wiper arm and rotate the blade clockwise to unlock it, then remove the blade.

CAUTION
To avoid damaging the rear window, do not let the wiper arm strike it.
2. Pull down and slide the wiper blade rubber out of the holder.
3. Remove the metal stiffeners and install them in the new wiper blade rubber.
CAUTION
Do not bend or discard the metal stiffeners. They will be needed for reuse.
4. Carefully slide in the rubber of the new blade.
Then install the blade by performing the removal steps in reverse order.
