If a person's body size or driving position makes it impossible to wear the seat belt normally, a seat belt extender can be purchased separately. The seat belt extender lengthens the belt by approximately 200 mm (8 in) and can be used for the driver and front passenger seats.

WARNING

  • Only NISSAN seat belt extenders, manufactured by the same company that designed the original seat belts, should be used with NISSAN seat belts.
  • Adults and children who can use the original seat belt must not use the extender. Unnecessary use of an extender could result in serious injury in an accident.
  • Never use a seat belt extender to install a child restraint system. If the child restraint system is not properly secured, the child could be seriously injured in a collision or sudden stop.
