Overdrive Switch

Inspection

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the center section of the instrument panel.

2. Disconnect the wires from the overdrive switch and the indicator lamp.

3. Check the resistance between terminals 1 and

2. With the switch off, there should be continuity between these terminals.

4. If not, replace the switch.

Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the center section of the instrument panel.

2. Disconnect the connectors from the overdrive switch and the indicator lamp.

3. Remove the screws, press the button and remove the selector knob.

4. Remove the switch from the retaining clips.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Install the switch.

2. Route the wiring and install the knob.

3. Tighten the screws and check that the selector is secure.

4. Connect the overdrive switch and indicator lamp connectors, install the center section.
