PROCEDURE

1. Check the throttle cable adjustment.

2. Press the lock spring and move the cable sheath as far as it will go toward the bracket.

3. Release the lock.

4. Make a mark on the cable.

5. Measure the kickdown cable travel (L). Place a ruler against the cable next to the mark and quickly move the throttle valve cam until the throttle is fully open. The travel distance of mark L must be 40–42 mm.

6. If necessary, adjust the cable: press the lock, reposition the cable sheath, and repeat the necessary steps.

7. Make sure the cable travel is within the specified range.

Removal and Installation: This work must be performed at a service facility, as transmission disassembly is required.
