GENERAL INFORMATION

The clutch consists of a driven (friction) disc, a clutch cover with pressure plate and diaphragm spring, and a clutch release mechanism. The friction disc consists of two ring-shaped friction linings riveted to a hub with damper springs. The diaphragm spring is rigidly attached at its periphery to the clutch cover by rivets through support rings, about which the diaphragm spring can deflect. As the friction linings wear, the clutch cable must be adjusted.
