Adjustment consists of checking and setting the pedal height and free play.

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the driver's floor mat and measure the distance from the floor panel to the pedal.

2. If the distance is measured to the floor mat, add the thickness of the floor mat to the result.

3. If the distance differs from the specification, loosen the lock nut of the adjusting bolt (or clutch switch) and turn the bolt (or switch) until the correct distance is obtained.

4. After adjustment, tighten the lock nut to the specified torque.

5. To gain space, remove the lower instrument panel.

6. Check the clutch pedal free play.

7. Press the pedal with a finger and measure the distance until slight resistance to movement is felt.

8. If adjustment is required, loosen the lock nut of the cable at the release fork lever (working inside the engine compartment) and turn the knurled nut to adjust the lever travel to specification (2.5–3.5 mm).

9. Check the pedal free play again and tighten the lock nut.

10. Install all removed parts.
