Malfunctions

Warning lamp 4lights up on the
instrument panel when the ignition is switched on, and goes out after a few seconds.

If it does not light up when the ignition is switched on, or stays on while the engine is running, it indicates a system fault.

Contact an Authorised Dacia Dealer as soon as possible.

Delaying the inspection may reduce the effectiveness of the protection.

All the recommendations listed below are intended to allow the airbag to inflate fully and to prevent serious injuries when the airbag deploys.

• Do not modify the steering wheel or its airbag.
• Do not cover the steering wheel airbag with any objects.
• Do not attach any items (pins, badges, watches, phone holders, etc.) to the steering wheel airbag.
• Removing the steering wheel is prohibited (except when carried out by an Authorised Brand Partner).
• When driving, do not sit too close to the steering wheel: your arms should be slightly bent at the elbows (see the section "Adjusting the driver's seat position" in Chapter 1). This position leaves enough free space for the airbag to deploy fully and work effectively.

Recommendations for the passenger airbag

• Do not attach any items (pins, badges, watches, phone holders, etc.) to the dashboard in the area where the airbag is fitted.
• Do not place anything between the dashboard and the passenger (pet, umbrella, cane, parcels, etc.).
• Do not rest your feet on the dashboard or the seat, as this may cause serious injury. All parts of the body (knees, hands, head, etc.) should be kept at a safe distance from the dashboard.
• After removing the child seat, reactivate the passenger's seat belt supplementary restraint system to ensure adequate protection in the event of a collision.

DO NOT INSTALL A REAR-FACING CHILD SEAT ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED. (see the section "Child safety: deactivating and activating the front passenger airbag" in Chapter 1)
